I haven't been in Bali for a while, but things surely seem to move fast there, I don't mean the traffic, I mean the prices! I checked the menu at gofastasia.com: everything is f*&#!@g expensive. Rp75,000 for a whole French chicken (!?) That's about US$8!!!!! I just bought one 3-1/2 pounds fried chicken at my local super market, in my suburb town near Boston, and it was US$4.63. Of course, that's not a "French" chicken, but the ones at Gofast are surely not ayam campung, but more like the ones raised in one of the "chicken concentration camps," near Candi Dasa.

I guess as it's a French chicken there's no need to worry about it having any guts, spine or balls :) making the preparation that much more efficient.

ordered 2 pizzas and 2 chickens from go-fast last night.

delivery time to drupadi was 25 mins.

pizza was ok, nothing special. the chicken (french) was pretty tasty.

rang Canggu tonight at 6.45 pm "sorry, ma'am, the French chickens are still cooking"! Is this socialism at work?:icon_e_wink:

I do not know if anyone else found that funny. I can guarantee that I did.
Still giggling ( or maybe the 20 beers today are helping me do that)

Now that's clever! But don't tell me, let me guess: you must be Australian, because that about their level of humor.

Feeling left out? I guess we could also photoshop a Stars n Stripes in next to that French flag too. Unless of course you can inform us of any war you've actually not run away from in the past 200yrs :icon_rolleyes:

From memory, Tintin's country of birth is France. He now lives in the U.S., so I think he's being rather a good sport under the circumstances.

Moi j'ai fait des études en France et c'était génial, quand-même...les français...de temps en temps...faut bien rire ;-))

No worries, this is just my humor. I have a first hand understanding and personal interpretation of the French having served with some pretty dubious non French buddies in an organization created to defend France derived from many nationalities, the least represented being France. And no I'm not an Aussie.

Cheers.

Amongst all this has anyone had a damn pizza turn up at their place?

Well, last evening I honestly tried, but they were going to charge me extra for delivering it, which would have made it a little bit too expensive.:heart-borken:

Well, I don't think this kind of "humor" is commensurate with the artistic nature that you display in your pictures on your Blog. As for your other comment, I assume you would have been at one time a member of the French Foreign Legion (?)

So photographers can't have a sense of humor? Either way, if the comment offended you it wasn't intended to. Just a tongue in cheek comment. Don't want to distract from the main topic.

Cheers.

I've had their roast chicken and it was good. Didn't pay the extra for the French chicken but the standard chicken was fine. We haven't had a delivery because I imagine we're too far out of Ubud although I haven't asked them. We're almost in Sukawati. Home delivery sounds luxurious to me.
