what gift is best for a balinese?

If you get clothes for the kids kmart always has great stuff on clearance. And don't forget the long sleeved shirts and jumpers, my sister in law always wants warm clothes for her boy :) I'm sure the parents will love cash! Well that's the 2 things I always give.

    Duel Citizenship for my child

Congratulations! The indo consulate in Perth told me there is now a dual citizen card you can get (not sure if it applies to you) I couldn't make much sense of why you would need it when the kids have both passports, but she said they stick it in the Aussie passport and you don't need a visa...

    Renting out our house

We have just built a house in Kerobokan and are thinking of renting it out for a year. Has anyone rented there own personal house out before? We plan to move into it in about 18 months. I am worried that it will get trashed (as rentals anywhere in the world sometimes do). But to leave it vacant...

what do we bring to bali with us?

I get heartburn/reflux and have not been able to find any of the chewable style relief... When I ask the chemist, they look at me very strangely. No one I talked to has heard of heartburn. If anyone knows anywhere that has them, would be great to know!

What is the difference between a house and a villa?

I have asked heaps of people, but no one seems to really know the difference. I would say our place is a house, but others say it's a villa. Or do people just like to call their place a villa coz it sounds more exotic, then they can try and sell it for more?

    Wedding!

I've converted and don't regret it. Yes I would do it again and I am actually planning to 'renew my vows' (if there is such a thing) so my kids can be there. My husband is one of the nicest men I have ever met (oh and he's from Java too!) For the record, he is MY slave :)

    Kids and Vaccinations

I understand people not wanting to vaccinate their kids is the parents choice to put their own kids at risk. What I don't understand is how you can put other innocent kids at risk? Say your child has whooping cough, and they pass it onto a baby who is too young to be vaccinated and that...

    Australian Visa Prospect to Marry

It's not as hard as it seems :) My husband came to Australia on a fiance visa, from when we lodged it to when it was granted was only 7 weeks... It seems like it is impossible, but stick with it :) The main thing is 'evidence' you are a real couple. Being pregnant should be great evidence! You...

I have just started swimming lessons in Australia for my 15 month old and she really enjoys it. I would hope to continue when we move to Bali. Does anyone know of anyone that is qualified to teach swimming to babies/toddlers? My husband said he has never heard of doing swimming lessons in...
