I am quite tall, can I still pick it up from there?
However being serious do they have your Camembert and sausages there as well?

I wandered into Warung Kecil yesterday. Now the positive here is that the Camembert is indeed very nice.
The negative is that two Indonesian lasses stand behind a thick glass screen which may look good but makes conversation very hard. I am hearing impaired so listening through a sheet of glass is very awkward. Being hearing impaired I tend to talk loudly. I know from experience that I must be talking loudly because the Indonesians start talking even quieter. So this lead to a game of charades.
To try and mime Camembert and air dry ham is very hard indeed. (try it yourselves). I was not even going to try for yoghurt. In desperation I slipped behind the sheet of glass into the "stay out of here" zone. Finally the girls and I could have a conversation. I was offered bread and chicken plus lettuce. This of course has put my career as a mime artist on hold for a few days.
Suddenly there was an understanding that I wanted Camembert (I had given up on the ham at this stage). Life became fun with smiles and "how much you want"
Then it turned sour again as I said "I do not know what sizes you are selling and what the prices are"
A promotional sign with available products and prices could have made this so easy.

Hey Ron, with Swiss / German products from the Alm you have to speak German to the girls. I bet you tried Bahasa, no chance. Next time I´ll accompany you and translate, will be fun.

Have to wait a few days to look at the video, it says "This video is not available in your country".

Similar to "This cheese is not available in your country", hahaha

Balibule, it has nothing to do with stuff that is not allowed (e.g. adult stuff), but it´s a copyright matter.

It´s Germany btw.

But I managed to watch the vid, and I have no.idea which move he was making :-D

I´ll try buying the Camembert at Warung Kecil next time and see how I will be doing. But as a precautionary measure, I will bring some from Germany :)

Andrew, I have cheese and salami. I also have wine (which I know does not interest you). Would you like to come to my place and I will give some cheese and various processed meat. I have kept a lot of this for Markit, but it appears he now has a fetish for a "car cleaner"
I will happily pay the taxi fare from your place to mine. (live life on the financial edge has always been my motto)

Ron, not sure if there is taxi service from Germany to Sanur, they don´t have metered Bluebird here and the Bali Taxi fare will be ridiculous. So I will take the plane if you don´t mind. I will even pay for it myself. See you in a few days :)

BTW: If the car cleaner is the one you posted some weeks ago then I understand Markit´s change in taste.

Dear, dear no.idea I have heard in recent posts that you are:

1) quite tall
2) specialist in matters hookers
3) true to your lovely/rabid/knife-carrying wife (choose whichever fits)
4) a major trader in rotten milk (cheese)
5) a major presence in matters Jagermeister
6) guiding light in all things charity

Might I suggest that you bend down from your great height and push your way gently through the ladies of the night (kupu-kupu malam) past your (lovely) wife and offer to host a cheese and Jagermeister evening (or lunchtime) for all Balipoders that can manage to get the Zimmer frame pointed in the right direction for the benefit of some good cause (charity) of your choosing.

Please, oh please don't make it before December 11th as I would not miss it for a kilo of Viagra and am confined to the country with the worst weather, soggiest climate and happiest people and best cheese until then (UK).

Cheers (as they seriously say) Mark

Sorry that I´m not able to offer a place for a Balipodder Cheese Lover gathering because my villa is currently being renovated (Ron, I hope they don´t disturb you too much), but when it´s done, we can meet at my place and Chris can bring some samples of the cheese, yoghurt, sausage and other stuff he sells.

After all, that´s what this thread is about.
