Another question on schools for a newbie

I think that that is what schools do (or at least should do) best - teach people how to think. Most of us believe that is something people do naturally, well if you've ever seen someone with near to no schooling try and figure out how a simple gadget works (push this button, then that lever, etc.) even with several explanations you will understand that that just aint so.

No.idea your lovely wife is exceptionally able and lucky no doubt, but probably - exceptional, most people just aren't like that and she had the added bonus of your masses of experience and bank account to draw on. Money does make up for a lot of idiocy just ask the British ruling classes.

Are you also saying your web builder friend had no secondary education?

I started reading a book about international education and they mentioned an international test for reading/math/science.
