Family moving to bali

Hello, We are a young Kiwi family moving to bali in March, We are needing a house 2-3 bed room, I hear its best to get an agent?. What is the likely expense for a modest house which is secure, in an area appropriate for a family, so not near the hustle and bustle or party area, We would like to be near play groups and/or kindys. and not too far from the beach. any recommendations info or contacts would be very much appreciated.

There is a good thread here comparing Sanur and Canggu. Prices are going up crazy everywhere in Bali so I don't think it is easy say what a going rate is. It might be easier if you post your approximate budget.

Oh ok we thought about 130000000 Rupi a month. Sanur sounds the best to us.

Haha you will have no problem at all to find an adequate place if you spend 130 Million Rupiah / month, so that would be 1.56 M / year, so 190.000 NZD $!

Also be useful to mention what part of Bali you wish to stay. The budget of 130 million a year will get you a decent place.
