We bought a new car a couple of years ago as sosbud, but had to have a nominee.
Since we now have kitas we exchanged to another new car in our own names.

Just make sure u keep the car and blue book (ownership book) in your possession.

The general perception says the blue book is good enough to ensure your hold on a car, but with the right channel and a police report, you could make a second of the blue book mark as "copy" as a substitute for it in a few months. That copy of blue book can be used as a collateral for a loan to some financial institution and the car can be confiscated if the loan payments stops

@smoke: any kind of agreement could be done with a lawyer, but in the end all you have to do is making sure you have an honest and trusted nominee since the law states you can't own a car with only a sosbud visa
