I will have to try harder to remember to take photos of our main meals. As it’s a foodie thread I thought we’d talk about the different meal times in the world. We live in Spain and breakfast time here is 10.00-10.30 am. Lunch is the biggest meal of the day, businesses close at 14.00 so we...

Hi Ho, Hi Ho it's off to the forum we go....

No dont get me wrong, it’s blowing a gale but it’s 24 degrees. We really haven’t had a winter here in south east Spain this year. Little to no rain which will cause problems in the summer. We will still be able to eat lunch outside ( sheltered from the wind ).

Hi Ho, Hi Ho it's off to the forum we go....

Go Good morning Markit. My Sundays are taken up with a long phonecall to my daughter in OZ then a longer one to my bestie in Ireland. The usual conversation between two married women, husbands, kids, clothes, hairstyles etc. Probably bore the life outta you. Now I’m getting ready to go to our...

    Relocation questions

Hi folks. Harryopal asked how our relocating plans were going on the food thread. I decided to reply here as I don’t want to upset Balifrog. We got back from our travels last week. To be honest I’m undecided. My husband says it’s ok for him. So we have reached a stalemate. If you were to ask me...

    Relocation questions

Hi Harryopal, we are now in Australia for Christmas and New Year. Okay what were our thoughts about the parts of Bali we saw……..firstly we stayed in Candidasa, definitely not for us, distance to the airport. Then on to the exact opposite, Kuta. Benidorm on speed. An experience let’s say. Then to...

    Relocation questions

Choosing to live on Bali only because it's conveniently close to fly to visit family doesn't sound like a reasonable motivation to me. ******************************************* Everyone has different reasons/motivations for doing something and I’d never judge anyone based on that decision...

Sorry Harry, no I was asking Rellek. Thank you for the information. I agree with you it’s probably a mixture of culture shock and tiredness from travelling. Thank you again.

    Relocation questions

Good morning folks. We we’ve been here now for 6 days. It’s been interesting! Spent first 2 1/2 days in Candidasa, decided it wasn’t for us as it would be to far from the airport for the short hops we’d want to make to Perth…..and the hotel was shite. Now in Kuta…….I’m sick saying no thank you...
