Post covid trauma?

Drugs?

Or maybe this always happened but we didn't carry around cameras 24/7 with the ability to share it to the world?

I don't think the problem is only here. Look around the world and people are doing some mighty strange stuff everywhere, some dangerous, some not, but most weird and on a huge scale - check out "trans", "conspiracy", "gain of function", UK 4 prime ministers in 2 years, "Brexit" (although I do agree, still), mass shootings, wars, housing meltdowns, bank meltdowns, AI, etc. etc. etc. boy just look around and be real glad you're on Bali.

Now I need a little lay down

From Ni Luh Djelantik's Instagram page. Crass behaviour really. No surprise that locals are calling for deportation of foreigners behaving badly.

Usually the police arrest anyone making, uploading and spreading video of naked people and/or genitals as this is considered "porn" here as per UU ITE law. The perpetrators usually end up in prison.

The police is already making a sinister warning about using the UU ITE law for those spreading "porn" among other things:

Other than that I translated the IG message from Ni Luh (using chatGPT as google is no bueno)

"BALI WILL BE FINE WITHOUT TOURIST TRASH! For those who claim we made Bali empty, please learn the difference between firmness and barbarity. Stop worshiping foreign scumbags who destroy Bali. Preserve a little self-respect, if you still have any."

The problem for Bali is how are they going to "filter" out the "trashy" tourists they want to avoid?

The situation is starting to be serious. Indonesian military (TNI) has been mobilized for patrols to monitor foreigners in tourist area.

TNI is not exactly having stellar reputation and are they really trained to handle obnoxious, drunk but usually unarmed foreigners without going overboard?

So what mandate do TNI soldier have to handle unruly foreigner?

If it's any consolation I don't see that the soldiers went armed.

I think you tie them up dunk them in a swimming pool underwater for ten minutes. If they are trashy tourists they will drown." This method worked very well for sorting out witches in the middle ages.
Damn, Harryopal, that's pretty heavy of a response. I mean really drowning people is a little cruel. Just kick them out. They are not ready to be here so send them home. I think the story of the woman going to the dance performance butt naked was funny as hell. Now you see what the vaccine does to some people. They are losing it due to the stresses of life and being injected with who knows what is making some of them go bonkers.

Yeah, it must work as you don't see any witches in Europe these days. You think the good tourist will just rise to the surface on their own?

No not really, they will just become fish food. So instead of a pool just take them half way to Nusa Penida and toss the overboard. The fish and sharks will like it. Yummy!

And the young guys they adress seem to be Indonesian ?
Yes. The locals should be the focus during the dark hours. Police in Sanur finally got their act together and managed to catch 56 local motorbike racers last weekend. I can only hope a major clampdown is coming as these motorbike racers are very noisy but also a serious hazard for other traficants with their reckless driving. The laws are clear: 1 month jail for having non standard exhaust. They need to stop the soft glove approach and build more jails.

Yes, it is a very efficient process but I forget how it worked out for the non witches. Kenya is a good place to catch up with witchcraft. Any serious politician consults local witch doctors as they work out their electoral strategies. And killing of witches still takes place quite often although they don't bother with the dunking method. It just needs an inexplicable death or sudden illness for people to suspect witchcraft and then pretty quickly fingers are pointed and another witch bites the dust. An unfortunate corollary with witchcraft is that a belief has taken hold that spells can be broken by killing an albino and using parts of their body for this purpose. Not a great place to be born if you are an albino.

All we need now is for the idea to get around that immoral tourist activity can be controlled in Bali by burning an occasional tourist at the stake. I am pretty sure that would work as a deterrent for drying up tourism and unwelcome behaviour.

No deportation this time: The Danish lady exposing her genitals [allegedly as I have yet to see the evidence] is now apparently charged under Article 36 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography. This article stipulates imprisonment for up to 10 years and/or a maximum fine of Rp5 billion for anyone who exposes themselves in public setting.

According to Jakarta post her transgression was caught on video in Seminyak Dec 2022. Who did the video and who did the upload? Why did the lady return to Bali if she knew about the video and the ITE law?

In any case I suspect the police will go for the maximum fine of 5 billion which will set them up nicely for further "negotiations".

Oh! Thats painful. But come on you don't do this in any country in the world. Well it looks like she is going to pay big time for her stupidity! Probably too many mushrooms Hah!

Well I found details about the incident in the local media.

As communicated by the police:
1. She apparently wanted to dismiss accusation of being a transgender, pulling the shorts to the side.
2. She claimed that she only showed off her underwear. Well actually this is not clear from the news article linked below.
3. She claimed not being aware of being filmed (by an parking attendant and his friend).
4. The video was recorded during her visit to Bali in Dec 2022.
5. She was made aware of the existence of the video when she returned to Bali. Staff at the hotel notified her after the video became viral.

Looks like the police is going overboard to "set an example" of what started out as a "joke". The people filing and making this go viral should be questioned.

I grew up 15 minutes from where they did the Salem witch trials way back in the day. I can spearhead this initiative. Pay me in Prost.
