Coming from the gili isles to hopefully get furniture, crockery, and more to stock house and bar/restaurant. I can get transported back from Amed, but assuming I get the rattan chairs and sofas and cushions (and maybe beds) I'm after, how on earth do I get it all to Amed ... a car will be too small so any recommendations for driver with van who speaks good English?
Most furniture makers will deliver for 100/150K. Your problem will be that they will all deliver on different days unless you buy it all from the same supplier - go to Mas by Ubud which is the center for furniture making on Bali and see what you can find.
I would suggest asking any of your friends if they know someone with a truck. There are many small trucks with an open tray at the back which you see driving around that are available, but some of them are pretty old so might not be able to go far. Of course if you ask one of those guys they will probably know someone with a bigger truck.
