I know a 4bed villa in Sanur but price for over Xmas would be double this budget. I agree, difficult to find something on this budget for so many people.

My most favorite place in Bali is Jatiluwih in Tabanan, amazing views of rice fields and mountains-Starting to get popular with tour buses. Another place I love is Pemuteran on the north west coast and also the west Bali national park. You can get a guide and do some lovely walks in the park...

I have an absolutely fabulous vet in Sanur, he does house calls and is great with the animals. Also not at all expensive. He is Balinese and speaks some English, though better if you can speak bahasa. His name is Gusde number 081337700808

I had exactly this problem when I first came to live here. I think I got one in Lotte Mart/Macro but it broke almost instantly! I then brought one back with me on my next trip to Oz. I agree with someone previously mentioned, I think you would be able to get one in ACE hardware.
