Anybody know definitely if I can rent a place for one year without a retirement visa and if so,can I rent out a bedroom or two legally.living in Thailand for 10 years and reading thaivisa.com ,I expect rubbish posts so go ahead, but dinkum info will be appreciated.Aveagoodday
Most landlords are going to care about your visa status, so I don't think it matters want visa you are on to rent a place. As to renting out your spare room, that is a bit of a 'grey' area. There was a post here recently about the government cracking down on illegal operators of Airbnb properties in Bali, but there has been no confirmation of this happening. I think like Thailand, no one cares to much about what you do here, until you upset the wrong person.
