Indonesia to begin trials of Chinese Covid-19 vaccine

So I saw some news articles about Indonesia beginning vaccine trials without mentioning which vaccine they were actually going to trial.

So from this article, it seems like it is a Chinese made vaccine, made by Sinovac Biotech which is a Chinese company which has received funding from the Chinese government to develop the vaccine.

Any volunteers?

State-owned pharmaceutical holding company PT Bio Farma (Persero) will commence a clinical trial for the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine involving 1,620 participants in August.
2,400 vaccines, produced by Chinese pharmaceutical firm Sinovac Biotech Ltd, were handed to Bio Farma last week and will be internally tested at Bio Farma's laboratory before a clinical trial at Padjadjaran University, Bandung.

"The vaccines will be internally tested at Bio Farma's lab, but the clinical trial will be carried out by Padjadjaran University," Bio Farma Research & Development Project Integration Manager Dr Neni Nurainy told Kompas.com, Monday (20/7).

The clinical trial aims to measure the effectiveness of the Sinovac vaccine in fighting the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). According to Dr Nurainy, Bio Farma's compiled data is enough to convince that the vaccine is safe for use.

"The clinical trial will actually take quite a long time, but we have enough data that proves that this vaccine is safe and effective, and thus an emergency use authority will be issued," Dr Nurainy explained.

chinese vaccine ,no thanks ,this is the country a few years who killed their own babies with doctored powdered milk.
 
It was 2016 or 2107 when China executed the head of the pharmaceutical regulatory authority for taking bribes from manufacturers to circumvent the requirements before introducing new drugs. Thanks, I am lining up in the non volunteer queue.

I suspect the Communist leadership in China and many creative entrepreneurs there were inspired by Groucho Marx: "The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you've got it made.”

It's also the same country that killed its own citizens by releasing the Wuhan virus and then killed hundreds of thousands more by letting the virus escape their borders. Also the same country who is currently keeping thousand of Chinese Muslims in concentration camps. I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg. Long story short, you won't find me in line for this Chinese vaccine trial.

I'll stick with my daily vaccine treatment of Arak thank you very much
 
No mention made of how or why Indonesia has been "honored" with this trial.

Nasty, kniggely, little voice wondering who and how much was paid...?
 
The CCP introduced this Virus which created as a WEAPON..They were happy to Sacrifice many Chinese nationals in order to be able to send it to the World..weaken the west ready to be taken over...by CHINA..
Now they are wanting to Distribute a Vaccine that is probably USELESS..
Someone in indo is probably receiving a giant kickback and or its A belt and Road ..setup ..I DO NOT TRUST THE CCP...AND NEVER WILL..

OR, maybe USA made it to hurt China and Russia stole it from USA to hurt China.
Nah. That's too much of a stretch. Dumbo J. Trunk (elephant in a room on Mara Gaja Lucu), couldn't come up with that (could he?).
We have nothing to fear but fear itself. And perhaps rogue elephants.
