Welcome Geo, and tell us more. Like which location(s) have you stayed at for these 17 years. What pollution worries you? Some on this forum have been obsessed with burning plastic, others are concerned by the litter on beaches after heavy rain, or are you worried because all the cars are using leaded fuel. And what aspect of security gets you? Is it the bag snatching in tourist areas, or is it the worry that so-called "people from Java" could make off with laptops and cameras, or is it just general paranoia?

Are you saying that cars are still using tetra ethyl lead in the gasoline in Bali. I understood it was banned about ten years ago.
