Forest fires on Gunung Agung

Forest fire on Gungung Agung. Not that much in the news other than that it is spreading, they can't get it under control let alone extinguish it because of difficult terrain....... It seems to have started a few days ago and yesterday Aug. 31st it was visible all the way to Lombok. Tonight Sep. 1st you can still see fire burning.

The Agung fires where particularly spectacular the night of the full moon as they (the fires) had only reached the outer left had rim of the mountain and the night was as bright as day. Made me realize again why I picked Bali to live - still, we could use some rain.
