I am currently researching how an Australian citizen can go about owning a business in Bali including the financial and cultural implications. I am looking for people's advice and first hand experience in going about owning a business in Bali. Things such as legal requirments, VISA requirements, working with lawyers/locals and complications that people have come across and how they overcome them. Also any advice that people have for other who wish to start a business in Bali.
My advice would be to move here and live for a year before you make any major decisions. Make some contacts and speak to as many people as you can operating in the industry that you would like to start a business. Also a lot of good info in the archives that would be worth looking through.
