alphonso, It is not easy to change banks in America when you are not living in America. Eventually I will set up an account in Indonesia and have my montly budget transfered to Indonesia.

What can an American do to open a bank account in Bali? I need to transfer money into an Indonesian account for living expenses because American banks will not allow for more than $100 transactions at a time. Maybe if I go in the bank I can withdraw my rent money?

ronb, that is perfect advice. The company I work for has outsourced all account managers and all business transactions are done on Skype. So I guess that since I can do these transactions from Taiwan and others are working from India then I must be able to work from Bali.

Would Telkom Speedy be fast enough to work via Skype Monday through Friday?
