My wife sells handicraft here in Indonesia, but occasionally has some international orders. Before it was all ok with Indonesia post/EMS (not cheap but always below 1jt).
However right now she wanted to sent something light but big (0.5k but 50x50x50). And she was quoted almost 7jt to the US. They said things have changed and they charge for volume now instead of weight.
I checked some of her competitors who are selling similar items with free shipping to the US for $100 all inclusive, while the post office quoted us 7jt for the shipping alone.
Anyone has an alternative for sending packages international that is cheaper? She only sells 1 or 2 items at a time, so a container is not an option.
