Just finished watching it. More Than Beef, Boats & Bali | Q&A | ABC TV. Very surprised about the level of support for Prabowo. Quite frightening really. Good show.

Unless Jokowi (Governor of DKI Jakarta) runs, it is most likely that Prabowo will be elected. The people are tired and sorely disappointed by SBY's Javanese style of governing, even though he is highly regarded outside Indonesia. They are ready for someone who will be willing to make a decision, be it democratic or not.

IMHO I think Jokowi should hold off in the 2014 election, and run in 2019. by which time the Indonesian people should be thoroughly fed up with Prabowo's lack of regard for the democratic process. Then the people will begin to truly appreciate SBY's era. Jokowi will also need time to build up his own grass-roots organisation rather than relying 100% on the backing of the various political parties who are rushing to back him. They will want more than their "pound of flesh" if he gets in.

Yes, very frightening to have someone running for president who has been banned from entering the US because of human rights abuse.

Please bear in mind the 100s of prisoners kidnapped (remember rendition?) and held for decades now without trial or charge in Guantanamo or the hundreds of thousands serving sentences of sometimes centuries for non-violent crimes in US prisons when bandying about the term "human rights abuse".
