I just moved here with my fiancee and we're up for new friends too. Last time we were here we made a lot of new friends at the beach and at the restaurants/cafes here, but they were transient. I have no idea how to tell whether someone is here for a few days or long term, so I guess I'm getting a little bit lazy to just bump into people and say hello.
