If you go east of Sanur along the coast prices go down. Look at rumah123.com and as an example search Gianyar. Quite a few are south of Gianyar closer to the beach.

I live in a small village south west of Gianyar town,where it still looks like Bali.
However,i have fiber optic cable for internet,phone and tv.(Telkomsel Indihome.)
The area around Saba is interesting to have a look.
Surfing at Keramas beach.
If you are looking for a base around there,pm me for phone/whatsapp,i have a separate guesthouse with kitchen,bathroom and wifi you could rent temporarily.
