And I’ve been remise in welcoming you to the forum, even as you well managed your initiation by fire!

Well done, and do stick around. In the end of it all, we are a good group, and as you suggested, over a beer (a martini for me) we can carry on very well.

Um........I think that was aimed at me, Roy.

Thanks for the welcome and I'd love to join you in Ubud for a Martini (preferable over Bintang any day) if I ever make it past all the corrupt police out of the ghetto that is Kuta.

Hey guess I'm late to the party, but here goes!

1 - I agree "rogue" is a poor word choice. I mean how can you say rogue when the actions are prcticed by all, HA! Just kidding!

2 - The root cause is pay, there is no doubt about it. So don't blame Western backpackers for the problem.

3 - Traffic infractions are inforced VERY selectively in the more touristy areas, duh. And it does leave an impression.

4 - Impressions become stereotypes and stereotypes become cliches and cliche stereotypes can be insulting (like the ones about Southerners made by hypocrits from the North).
