Hi All,
I just got Telkom Speedy but I cannot configure it for my Mac.
The two Telkom guys who came to install said that the provided modem (Star-Net ADSL2+Router) does not work on a Mac.
Maybe they are right or maybe that means they are simply not able to.
I already asked for help in this forum and could not solve the issue yet, but thinking of future Mac users with the same problem, I open this thread to make their life a bit easier.
I also hope to find some more help from users who had the same experience.
In any case I'll keep this thread updated.

So, the situation now is:
- I can use my XP laptop (I am using to write this)
- I cannot use my Macbook OS x 10.4

The closest help comes from Bert Vierstra who said

you need to configure your Mac for DHCP, and plug in the cable, that's all. (I guess)
Look here:
http://www.google.com/search?q=configure+mac+for+DHCP

I know this is the right direction as I kind of recall doing the same thing somewhere else lately.
Following that search I checked this
http://www.owlnet.rice.edu/owlmac/dhcp.html

Result: my Network Status says I am online but my browser says no (and Skype says no too).

Well, let me do some more research and see what happens.

So what internet connection do you have now? And how much is it per month? And what kind of regular speed do you get?

Thanks!
