That will not be entirely true....
I have on numerous occasions listened to Balines talk badly of any Indonesians from any other Island...

So I think Cass, you will probably hear some... But not in the way of that experiment, or colour racism...

It is very minimal!!!

Tracey, I agree a little unkindness once in a while, but it's not racist in my view, i.e. discrimination, derogatory names, etc., rather it seems more of a culture clash.

In Ubud, among the local women I've heard comments even about other Balinese...like, "Oh, she's from Singaraja" which seems to have a certain connotation about one's morals. :shock:

But outright racism is something I've never experienced in Bali...but sure did growing up in the States!

Yep. Buleleng, has "the name"

Actually Dewi looks sometimes in wonder at other places in Bali. Especially Ubud has her admiration for all the religious activity.

Singarajanese are "amateur" Hindu's... (Sorry for the generalisation)
