if you stay long enough, open a local bank.. coz citibank charge you huge amount of money monthly... and local gaves you more service as well..(atms, debit, etc) id suggest BCA or mandiri....

i never had a relationship with balinese... but i think its a matter of sacrifice and understanding.. cultural diversity is not a major problem.. the major thing is wether both person could give sacrifice to maintain the relationship... and how big the "willing" for it..:)

in my opinion, its better to change in bali.. coz the rates are competeng between one and another... sydney airport gaves you very expensive rates i think.. but you can find cheaper rate at george street (haymarket(, its beside the vietnamese restaurant called pasteur if im not mistaken...
