Is first rate and has handled me and mine better than any English dentist and a damned sight cheaper than the rest of the world. Their apparatus is way above the English standard.
All in all would heartily recommend.

Thinking to maybe have some work done prior to leaving here....but, hating them so much, I will put it off for as long as possible.
I have 2 broken teeth that need fixing one day.....worried one will need the full monty...root canal and all that....they usually require a few visits with a month or more apart and might have run out of time here to do that....but no problem waiting, been broken for a year or so now and you cannot see them when I smile cos I got fat cheeks.
I think you are better off doing the dental work in Thailand. If I were in your shoes, I would do it in Thailand. In my opinion medical & dental stuff would be much better in Thailand than here, even a basic dental cleaning would be much better in Thailand than here.

Whilst agreeing with Natasha that Thailand is probably better I would not dismiss dental work in Bali. There are many (Doktor Gigi) and I personally used Bali 911 Dental clinik. It was excellent and considerably cheaper than Thailand.
Thailand has been in the tourist medical/dental business longer but Indonesia is also a player. I had a full heart medical check-up in Phuket (Bankgok Hospital) a couple of years ago and it cost US$350. I had the same check-up recently at Siloam Hospital in Bali and it cost US$150. The Thai visit was completed in a matter of 2 hours whereas the Bali visit needed me to return in the afternoon for the results.
Both check-ups were similar, and I was interviewed by a cardiologist both times....but the Thai nurses were prettier....possibly why I was diagnosed with hypertension:icon_e_biggrin:

Thanks, nice to know...think with my ability to procrastinate much with dentists visits, having one recommended in Bali....gives me breathing space.

As for Thai nurses being cuter...damn, just spent 5 days in Bangkok and you just cannot beat the numbers of good looking women about, just everywhere...and not a soldier in sight...being a little bit of a perv, its the one thing I shall miss.....missus likes a look too, we often looking at the same thing at same time.

I found the perv value in Bali rather lacking during 3 months there last year......but i digress..
ATM fees from banks.....whom is best...most cash out allowed for least cost ?
If country coming from matters, it is Oz, last year I found Commonwealth and BNI I think it was were best, most baht out for the same fee.
Here we can take out circa $8/850 per withdrawal from an ATM and the fee is about 50k IDR....how does that translate to whats available/possible in Bali ?
Doubt I'll have a bank account for some time from what I've read is required.

Samsaim it easy to get a bank account ! I am on a social Visa and use a few indonesian banks!
bank permata will help you ! most others need you to supply the "sponsor" who has an account at that branch or bank for 3 months to one year depending on Bank.
the rest either you need a kitas or be indo to have .

Any reco's on which bank is better than others ?
For example....here I have accounts in a bank which is the best suited for overseas transactions as it is affiliated with several O/S banks...others are not.
I tried to get an account with the kings bank as I figured this is one bank that will never fall over, they will not let it....but needed a WP to open.

I use Permata bank as my main bank . I send wire transfers to either my usd or rupiah account depending on where wire coming from and current exchange rates.Also usually no long long cueing like BNI has lol. Permata also has a priority service that kicks azz !
I can withdraw up to 25 Million at one of there atms ( 3 mill max per tranaction ) and BNI limits me to I think 12 Million
fees probably about the same if any

oh just for everyones sake You will get many red flags and inquiries if you send over 500,000 Million ( about 38k USD) in one day .. on a sosbud or VOA

Just as a mention...I think I have found quite a reasonable visa agent and their pricing to me anyway, so far, has been the best of them all and pretty much guaranteed I will be using them.....but, I still like to keep em honest by asking about for others and their pricing etc.
Today i got an email from an agent and it came in at 42million per 6 months....crikey....holey shit batman.....for the 4 of us by the way.

first off a sosbud is good for 60 days originally and u allowed 4 extensions of 30 days each now if each extension is 800,000 each( and that on high side) per person that 3.2 Juta each extension . time 4 times it be 12.8 juta so they charging you over [B]29 J[/B] to get you 4 sosbud and 4 letters ..

I am sure you have read the other forum on what the official prices are and Imigrasi doesn't ripp you off....Is your problem not having a sponsor?
