Yes, no sponsor.....dont really know anyone in Bali yet....couple of acquaintances, but thats it. The biggest cost seems to be the extensions x 4 each month. I was hoping to get a deal and get that down somewhat and not being in the country does not help I guess.

And what happens when the extensions come to an end,will you have to fly out of the country and start all over again...also will you have to come here on a VOA,get your sponsor letters fly out , apply at a Consulate then fly back in? Can you get a company sponsored kitas for a family (including a different nationality wife??)

If I am not mistaken, the agency 'Bali Ide' does the extensions for 600K a piece...so 2.4jt X 4 = 9.6jt.....mentioning Markit in your communication with them might help too :) For bankaccount : if I remember right, when you have a commonwealth account in Oz then you can open up an account here at commonwealth bank, if bringing proof of having the account in Oz. There should also be some benefits when transferring between the two, cheaper rates or maybe even free..RonB could answer that one.

The procedure of using a titanium screw into the bone is an implant. Had 1 done for my wife in Sept. 2012. Think cost was AU$800. Had been suggested cost of $15000 to $20000 in Aust. She had her lower denture modified to fit and attach to the implant. Total all up cost was $1400. About 3 visits over 1 week. No problems so far.

But, any good ones in bali ? Both for adults...and particularly for kids if anyone has a recommendation. Thinking to maybe have some work done prior to leaving here....but, hating them so much, I will put it off for as long as possible. I have 2 broken teeth that need fixing one day.....worried one will need the full monty...root canal and all that....they usually require a few visits with a month or more apart and might have run out of time here to do that....but no problem waiting, been broken for a year or so now and you cannot see them when I smile cos I got fat cheeks.

^ crikey...I read 1500 to 2000 there originally...but...bloody hell....think mistake there though as had a mate contact me recently from Oz asking about dental in Thailand and he was quoted in Oz prices around 4 to 5000 each.

Wow! 4-5 grand for a self tapper and imitasi tooth...WE should go back to gold false teeth.If you are game to smile in Bali without getting mugged for your teeth

Actually i have a lump of gold that was mined out of pine creek and it would be enough to fill my gob and enough left over for a nose ring maybe.

I can spot the boys a mile off. I dont know anyone in bali with kittas, in jakarta and bandung yes, but not bali. but its not an issue as the agents can sponsor and I can get it all by email to take to embassy...so can arrive on sosbud and no need to travel out and back for first one. unfortunately dont have comm bank account in oz, but may have someone to recommend for the bank smokey recommended. slowly coming together. thanks

IN Oz no needle for filling if no big hole down to the root..Oz dentists are useless,in Darwin anyway,once pulled out the wrong tooth,had to go back the next day with fekin SEVERE tothache but she kicked me out because I was behind in my payment.Nearly fainted from pain.Gave me strong painkiller(yay) and told me to fk off.Rang me next day and told me to come back coz felt soory 4 me(wheew)..Now down to 1 upper grinding tooth aarrgh! Lucky no big beefsteak here

Those oz prices would have been for multiple implants plus bridgework. Don't know why she thought we would spend that amount. Anyway paid the account (an extraction) and then researched dentistry in Bali.

I use some places in renon and prodia lab in denpasar . about 2 months ago I had full physical and complete blood work and stress testing cost about 2.3 Juta for it all . I cab get the the name and #of the kids dr. next time I drive by

The dental practice of Dr Retna Agung in Sanur has numerous recommendations. Never seen an adverse comment. They are on the bypass, No. 4a opposite McDonalds.

Ok so got a couple of good dentist recommendations....remember if anyone has kids and knows first hand of a dentist that is good with kids...please. Now how about doctors and Hospitals. Went to the hospital, one of the Inter ones out near that big monument, supposed to be the main Inter one last year and was shocked at the price, more rippoff than Thailand. Which is considered the best hospital and any specific doctor recommendations. I have one doc reco from 'Sherm', thanks Sherm, so thats a start and by the sounds he is the kind of doc I like, one that will not prescribe meds for no reason....he is at the Bali Medika in Kuta. Would really like a kids doctor if anyone knows of a really good one....similar to one we have in Bangkok, will never prescribe medication if not absolutely required, really good doc, great bedside manner also with kids.
