What I have seen is the houses are more Indonesian style-- many small rooms, everything enclosed, one or two story, and sometimes the houses are built all the way up to the property walls, not allowing any kind of room for a garden or anything. The villas are more western, open-air kitchens and living rooms, larger rooms, westernized kitchen/bathrooms, and garden and pool. This is a generalization, theres always exceptions to this, but this is what I've seen.
