Indonesian Independence Day and Fireworks!!!

Where can i Buy good fireworks on Bali for the festivities this August. All the colors and parties and dancing... I was thinking about bringing some fireworks from the firework capital of the world Hong Kong before I arrive in Bali but then I realized what an idiot i was even thinking that i could get fireworks on a plane and through Hong kong airport secuirty. are the fireworks chinese fireworks or locally made?

A resident there can probably answer this question with more authority, but in my visits to Bali, I've never had any difficulty finding vendors on the beach at Kuta who want to sell me fireworks (invariably at the daily sunset party gathering on the beach). Indeed, they typically find me. Mind you, the fireworks are seldom more than bottle rockets and such, but there you go.
