accom with views of rice paddies

Hi,

Will be in Bali over Xmas. Ubud for about 3 days. Looking for somewhere to stay midrange where I can get up early and photograph rice terraces. Preferably right outside my door!
Have tried Ketuts and they are full. Any suggestions anyone please?

One place might be Three Dewis, off Jln. Bisma, across from the Honeymoon Guest house. They are very reasonable, a family run place with 4 rooms. Two have rice paddie views and two are garden rooms.

I saw a nice place just north of the bintang supermarket, great views, really great for 12$us a night, no a/c ,will try to get the name .,# for you ,, Frog

The place Froggy is referring to is called Taman Indrakila. It's lovely, very nice and large rooms (each is its own little house) and a gorgeous pool. The landscaping is lush and varied and there's a nice view of Gunung Agung most mornings (early). I was just there less than two weeks ago. I believe the most expensive room you can get there is about US$18 a night. Their number is (62-361) 97 5017. Recommended.
