I agree with you, SHoggard and oddly I find crowded cafes and bars easy environments to write in. I live currently in a beach house, and while an attractive haven for some, the isolation starves me of character inspriation.

Thanks Joe, I attended the Ubud Writer's Festival last year and found it overwhelmingly crowded with women writing their memoirs.

As a new (old) writer looking at Bali as a retreat destination to pen my next tome, I'm wondering if there are any pitfalls or is it just plain paradise for writers. Probably internet speed and research facilities is a start. Thanks in anticipation.
