Motorbike monthly oil change?

Used oil and oil filters are soled, oil is mix with diesel to power generators and boats. oil filter casing is used for metal crafts. Markit your manual say 6000km for service, my new bike is as per honda book because its new. My old bikes are 1000kms and I change it myself with filter, I found out the yamaha dealer only replaces the filter if you ask.

What kind of oil is recommended for your bike Fred2? Is it a new bike or scooter? Synthetic?

My honda sale rep picks up my bikes for service, new honda vario 125, 110 and beat they are still under warranty so we use genuine 10/30 honda scooter oil, I also have the coolant replaced every 12 months. Honda oil is made by Mobil. My old bike I use 10/30 mobil and 50mls of lucas Stabilizer makes it run smoother. If you are changing your oil every 1000km then any 10/30 oil as long as its a brand name. Two years ago a sale's rep tried to sell me some coolant, I tested it and said you are trying to sell me green water(no glycol). He would go back and remix his product. Later he came back with the product, it was very green(looked correct) but still no glycol. Be careful of what you buy in asia.

Hi FredFred, Do you really need "Glycol" in the coolant here in Bali ? As I remember Glycol is a kind of alcohol which prevents freezing of the coolant in cold countries. For anticorrosion there might be some other ingredients added.

You are right in the old day we used antifreeze, glycol was 50%+. Now we use Coolant, glycol 30%+Corrosion inhibitor. glycol + pressure will rise boiling point.
