Mark wroteSlightly off topic, but Singapore just instituted a similar ban prohibiting take away alcohol sales and public consumption of alcohol from 10:30pm to 7am. Went to my local supermarket today (a tiny place of maybe 100 sqm) and saw more than 20 neon yellow signs in the store reminding shoppers of the ban, as well as all staff wearing sticker buttons stating the same. Too bad the shop closes at 8pm so they couldn't sell after 10:30pm anyway.... Meanwhile, the 7-11 next door, open 24/7, had no such signs. Idiocy is clearly not a monopoly of Indonesia.
Thailand had something similar when I was there - only available at certain times. Some of the mom and pop types of stores supplies restaurants and hotels so I wonder if they will stop selling.
