Indonesian Air Asia, as in QZ8051, is an Indonesian Company registered in Indonesia (IATA code QZ, ICAO code AWQ). The majority shareholder is PT Fersindo Nusaperkasa, an Indonesian company. The 29 aircraft are registered in Indonesia (PK). The crew are licensed by Indonesian Civil Aviation, The routes are authorised by the Indonesian Gov't, The management are Indonesian. Again I agree. It is an Indonesian airline observing Indonesian regulations. The investigation can look whether permission to takeoff from Surabaya was OK, whether Jakarta air traffic control behaved well, whether the Indonesian aircrew on an Indonesian plane did well, whether there was some aircraft problem which could reflect on Airbus or on the Indonesian maintenance, whether the weather was like an "act of God", -- all of these issues, but none of them relates to Malaysia in any direct way. Of course, Tony Fernandes is the big boss and it is just conceivable that some managerial decision of his has played a part, but I my guess is that this is an unlikely outcome.

Yes Davita, I agree with you as I noted. I arrived at this opinion before reading yours so it is "independent". I am sorry that I have not delighted you, and you seem to imply that if I am not disagreeing I should shut up. Maybe I will, and leave the space uncluttered so that you can have your soapbox. I can see the way I said my post #21 would piss you off ronb.....so I'm sorry. When I posted my previous comments, on the same subject, I was subjected to a couple of members hi-fiving with their 'likes' and joked that something 'flew over my head'. Therefore, I'd hoped that a poster of your calibre would seriously corroborate my soapbox-post with additional information. I should have chosen my words to your post better....but I'm still feeling the hurt....:black_eyed:
