Do you have a garbage man in your area?. We have a guy who comes in on a bike every few days and sorts out all of the plastic from the garbage, friendly guy. I was under the impression all areas here had guys like these.
Yeah, the friendly sorting guys who tip all the garbage out of the bags, make a total mess, which then has to be cleaned up!!! as I recycle I am sick of the mess they make, so have a large concrete box with a locked lid, garbage truck driver has the combo for the lock, so all is clean and I am one happy person...

Our guy takes everything, he sorts it all first but everything goes. I think he's hired as a garbage man but makes extra $$ on the side recycling what ever he finds.

Yes we have a garbage guy with a 3 wheeler motorbike, who we pay every month. Those that don't pay dump their rubbish by the sea. In the villages nobody pays and they dump their rubbish wherever. I see guys recycling card, glass and metal but no one seems to be doing the plastic. In fact there are piles of it all around. If I knew where the recycling center was and what they paid I could pass it on to a few locals who may want to take advantage of it.
I talked to a guy in my basketball team today, he said there are a few places in Singaraja that recycle plastic. One of the depots being on Jl Dewi Sartika. They take paper, cartons, glass and metal. The only plastic they take though are bottles and empty plastic cups and they only take them if the labels are removed. Apparently it all gets sorted and cleaned here then shipped to Surabaya to be recycled.
