Rangy I'm not pulling your wire but the only way to tell if a picture is from a certain era/year is if there is something in it that you can "age" - for instance the one with the cars is easy the ones with just bushes or a building site could come from last week or 1740 (if they'd had cameras)

But because you don't know what it looked like and there are no cars in it, you come here speculating that it is not true. I trust the person who took the photo rather than someone who does not know and just wants to say that it is not true because they don't know and there is no cars or something you can "age" in it.

The gate, at the top of the stairs, was restored in 1987. At first, it kind of clashed with the rest of the site, but after a while, like it does under the tropics, it weathered, and did not look out of place. The stairs are the original, as far as the archaeologists down the street, on Jl Raya Tampaksiring, can tell. No, I don't believe the average size of the people has changed (if anything it has increased)

I clearly remember that in 1984, the entrance to Kuta Beach, located at the end of a narrow street, looked exactly like the picture on the left (1972).
