Get together in Lovina

I will be up north for a short stay 11.6-14.6. Visiting a dear friend who runs a clinic up north. Is there any interst from you guys living in the Singaraja/Lovina area for an informal get together. Lets meet at a local restaurant and have a nice evening together. Suggestions?

We were 3, Lioness45, Della who is not on Balipod but has recently been mentioned in this thread https://balipod.com/forum/threads/student-scholarship.7371/ - and me. We didn't hear anything from Rambutmerah. The restaurant is great - I loved the Tuna Tataki which I chose because of a great photo, and it lived up to expectations. So we had an enjoyable time. But I would have to say that Balipod meet-ups in Sanur seem to work better than Lovina.

thanks for that Ron, sorry there were only 3 of you..have met Lioness45 at Sanur. The time i met with some people at Lovina , there was quite a good turn out.

Yes, I remember Sanur and the photo of Lovina. I recall that you suggested the two meet-ups (Sanur and Lovina) and followed through with further information and reminders up until the meet-up days. I think the enthusiasm of the organizer and these reminders probably makes all the difference.

Since that Lovina meet up we had with Goldminer I think a few Balipodders have had kids which might make a difference. If someone wants to do a meet up and they have a specific date and place they would like to meet, I would be happy to try and promote it. 2-3 advance warning is probably a good idea. If a forum member has a good place to host and they don't mind for example providing a few free snacks, I am sure that could work. Even though I didn't go to the Bonsai Cafe meet up, I went there a few times after that for food and drinks, so it's not a bad way for business owners to possibly get some new business. Of course it then closed down soon after, but that of course could be for other reasons :dejection:

So sorry that i wasn't able to get in contact and tell you that I wasn't coming to Lovina after all. Was so busy in Lombok selling my property. When everything was finalised there were only 2 days left for my stay in Lovina and I had to cancel my visit. Simply not enough time left before heading back to Sweden.

I enjoyed meeting up with Ronb and Della, but it would have been good to have met some of the Balipod "locals" to get an overview of Lovina. Perhaps next time. I am here until 30th June if anyone would like to meet for a drink. Staying in Anturan at Mumbul.
