OK - a good example to try. Tim Winton has published about 9 novels, and on the bookz channel you can find 3.
Cloudstreet is available in epub format and is quite readable - although not as well presented as some.
Dirt Music is only available as a plain text file and looks pretty rough. However, using the free software Calibre to convert it to epub makes a fairly readable version.
Breath is available as a doc (MS Word) file and is poorly formatted. I would guess that for someone fairly familiar with Word, in about 20 minutes you could improve the format by a huge amount - probably a good investment if you are going to then spend some hours reading it. Another approach is just use Word to write an rft file that Calibre can then convert to epub - but the book you get has the paragraphs run together - not very good to read. So probably better to do some editing in Word to get good paragraph formats.
So, in summary, this Aussie author was there but only some books, and the quality of the e-books is quite variable.
