In honour of us all having at least one thing in common, being "we are human".,
i would like to dedicate this new topic to asking Sanurian to come back to the forum,
in fact, i would wish for dr bruce, Thorsten and a few others, which i am sorry i cannot remember now their names.
thankyou.

At the end of the day it is their choice to stay or go. The reasons for their going remain, so it is unlikely they will come back so soon but if they do they are welcome.
I think that change will never happen by someone leaving and so leaving defeats that purpose.
Dasha
Good topic Chilli Not sure where the Doc is either but Thorsten has been a little active on FlickR and Phil's in full swing there too. Both are in good spirits I can reassure.
Not too sure what you mean there Jimi about someone leaving and leaving defeating the purpose.

Jimbo meant...by leaving, one has no more influence in changing anything. As in changing the reasons why the left in the first place.
At least that's the way I read it.
friendly greetings, Gilbert.
Dasha
Hi Gilbert. I think you are right. I read it a few times and thought what does he mean exactly. That makes sense to me too. It takes me a while sometimes i spose. friendly cheers too dash
Jimbo
Oh Good. That saves me having to explain it :D

Perfectly true.
Given the nature of the internet, don't you think it's possible for people to be "re-born"?
Not everything is as it seems. Never was, never will be. Especially on the WWW.
And also in Bali, for that matter.
:)

I am pretty new on the forum, and don't know any of the currently non-active mebers. Probably, (after I read a lot of posts), I think the non-active members are on some kind of sabattical, at least I hope...because most of them had some very interesting posts/story's and therefor would like to see some of them become active again. Future will tell....
JohnnyC, what do you mean with 'reborn'? As in changing their views on life or something like that? Or do you mean it in a simple way...just a new username, hihihihi?
Friendly greetings all......Gilbert.
over-it
reborn as in changing your username from Sanurian to Johnny Cool, for example 8)
Dasha
well well well.
you got me hook line and sinker john cool .... very nicley executed
mimpimanis
reborn as in changing your username from Sanurian to Johnny Cool, for example
As I always thought
gilbert de jong
If that's is true and JohnyC is in fact Sanurian,
What is the motive for one to be 'reborn'? I mean why would someone pick another username and start posting under a new name?
Don't get it
Friendly greetings, Gilbert.
Dasha
never mind Gilb
when you know Phil well you will understand
we are one big happy family here - aren't we everyone?
Jimbo

Of Course we are :D Like any family we have falling outs from time to time but the secret is to forgive and forget.......well most of the time :D

Who would start an 'argument' and then answer the question himself??? Split-personality, as in Jekell and Hyde? That would also explain the multiple usernames,  .
Friendly greetings.........Gilbert.
Though I don't have much experience in forums, I do moderate another Expat Forum in Indonesia, and doing so I have access to the ISP of users... I was recently surprised to find out that the practise described by JohnnyCool is not that rare. You sometimes "meet" very weird people on the
http://WWW...
JohnnyCool
Who is "sanurian"?
The name sounds like some extinct sauropod.
I "know" several "sanurians" and they do actually live in Sanur. Let's see now - the retired psychologist who claims his biggest contribution to that science was the invention of "Nonsense Therapy"; the lazy art collector with only three valuable works stored in a huge garage somewhere in Australia; the former telescope-maker; and last, but by no means least, the musician who has been seen to fall off a stage and keep playing his guitar without it going out of tune.
I find it rather odd that some people don't understand what "re-born" means. There is a very prominent world-wide religion which places great store in this. Many of its adherents even believe in "miracles", people coming back from the dead, etc. It's still a gigantic and thriving business.
In retrospect, perhaps "re-invention" would have been a better term. As in "create anew and make over - 'He reinvented African music for American listeners'." I reckon people reinvent themselves on a regular basis. Variety is the spice of life (not only sambals).
I put it to all the cyber-detectives here to figure out if Roy, as an example, has reinvented himself.
The World-Wide-Wait is a wonderful beast, which brings all kinds of pleasures to millions. It's also a minefield of misinformation, fake identities, and nasty things that can sometimes take over your computer.
If "sanurian" is doing something seen as devious, he may well have good reasons for doing so. I wouldn't know. At least he doesn't start arguments with himself and answer them (I think).
:D

Whatever reasons people may have, here people can be what and who they want, using whatever username they think is appropriate, as long as they respect the rules and guidelines.
And I ask you to respect their choices, and judge them on what they write, not on presumed "identities", and if you "know more about someone" keep it to yourself.
Please no revealing of true or other identities.
gilbert de jong
Hi fadmin,
Cant help to feel that your post is directed to me..? As I was the one questioning someones motives for having multiple usernames.
I realy don't care under what name people post because I agree they are free to choose their own username. About "Judging" people for what they choose to write or ask..I personally don't "judge" them, they have the right to their own opinion. I just vent my own opinion about whatever the topic is, or ask someone to elaberate about what they wrote, if I don't understand what they wrote. I don't see anything wrong by that.
So I stand by my opinion...not understanding why???
Friendly greetings......Gilbert.

And how relates this kind of 'reborn' to a new-username
If you would have used 'reinvent' in the first place, I would have know what and how you meant it :) . btw, you call it 're-invent'...I call it hiding behind some new username, for whatever reason one chooses to take a new user-name.

Hi,
No, it was not directed at you.
The "judging" was in relation to the use of a name.
No worries...
