Hi everyone,I'm new here and couldn't help joining even though I don't live in Indonesia - yet.Although I'm Indonesian, I haven't lived in the country for many years now and it's so good to read the many posts in this forum be it the latest news in Indonesia or international. And so, I picked this subject as my first participation in this forum.I'm with one who says he can't take another Clinton? Well, I can't either. I doubt very much that Obama would want to be the VP of Clinton. Imagine what would that be like for him to have to be the second-fiddle after Bill? And I don't think Michele would stoop to that either. By the way, do you have Fox News in Indonesia? Thanks.Milan, Italy

Yes, Obama is such a transcedental figure. America needs him as their President. He comes at the right time. Unfortunately, the many cynics out there who do not want him to win the nominee take some of the sound bites in the speech to suit their needs to their advantage.Mathematically, Obama would win the nomination. But it's going to be ugly for the Democrats. Things are in a mess as nobody knows what would happen. That would bring advantage to the Republican Party to win the White House as McCainn is quite a formidable candidate, regardless.

By the way, do you have Fox News in Indonesia?
Welcome Milan,Indovision is used a lot (satellite) and it doesn't list Fox News. Only Fox Crime :)http://www.indovision.tv/

Geez, that preacher was sure white looking! ,,, I think the issue will just get bigger, it really hurt him.....makes you wonder about who really is prejudice in America,, I wonder How many preachers get a crowed riled up like that,, but anyways ,back on topic... Obama speaks great, real great, but he will have major problems... 1. his idiotic health care plan 2.not getting assasinated 3.views on Iraq-polls show most Americans want out, but in reality we really cant, and J. McCane will make him look like a fool on this and other international issues. His "darkside" really hasnt been shown.... I dislike all of them,Us Americans never really have a great choice at election time, why? Sounds like Tin has a few answers on that.
JAMIE
OBAMA has asked us to trust his judgement , seems the judgement he uses for his own family is questionable ? Like the Frog said I dont think any of us really like our choices (again) . On a side note , I liked watching the video on his preacher , hes a pistol .

Hi Frog,I don't have any answers, but few comments.Presidential candidates. What would you consider a "great choice?" A choice between a Joseph Stalin versus a Mother Theresa candidates? Within the limited scope of influence that any President can have, I find there is a lot of difference between a McCain, a Clinton and an Obama.Health plans. BOTH, Obama's and Clinton's are pandering to the Insurance lobby. Their "universal" insurance plans are just like rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic. The real solution, if they were serious about the problem, would be a Medicare-type insurance program. If nothing else, it would start with a huge saving of 25%, by eliminating the present waste which is the private companies' overheads. What about McCain's health plan?Obama's dark side. Are you one of those people who consider him not black enough? :D Iraq. No matter who it is, they all have to conform to the will of the corporations and to the military-industrial complex. So, since Iraq was invaded in order to establish a US permanent base in the Middle East, McCain or no McCain, we're staying in Iraq.Nota bene. Who was the fool yesterday when he, McCain, said that Iran was supporting al-Qaida? He promptly apologized for this stupid remark. So much for his foreign policy expertise...(Ex)-Reverent Wright (the preacher). Journalist Michael Kinsley gave years ago the definition of a "gaffe." A gaffe, he wrote, "is when a politician tells the truth." The idea is that the truth is something few people want to hear because it upsets them. What matters is not talking about uncomfortable issues and violating the code. And the code says that you're either supposed to lie, as long as the lies are generally accepted, or talk about vague things like America's greatness or the audacity of hope. But never, never talk about things that are true and that matter. And this is what Wright was telling his congregation and the African-Americans, and they understand him. Granted, from the very little I have seen on videos and read, he can get carried away (but have you even been in a revival meeting, black or white? Obviously not), but mostly it is the truth.
JAMIE
TIN , really good post ..."not black enough " that was funny !
Roy
Daniel, IMHO you should write off both Froggy and Jamie. If our American forefathers had been just a tad more insightful, they would have included a "minimum intelligence" clause within the concept of the right to vote. :P
Jimbo
If our American forefathers had been just a tad more insightful, they would have included a "minimum intelligence" clause within the concept of the right to vote.
That was a great insult. I am impressed :D
JUDY
Jimbo, you hit the nail on the head! Roy, you truly have a command of the english language. I couldn't agree with you more.
JAMIE
ROY I like your new avitar , but you should use the full body picture of you on NASTY BALI . I think its kinda hot that your wife likes a guy with a tail . Your turn .
Roy
Jimbo and Judy...many thanks.
froggy
Geez, everybody at the same time.."Roy For President!"
Roy
NO thanks! I'd rather consider the "dream team" ticket...you and Jamie. We could call it "the ultimate nightmare."
Jimbo
I think I should be Obama's running mate. I can bring the age and experience to the ticket...well mostly age. Let us all hear in now .....a Brit for VP of America. Oh no I thought this might have been a first and then of course I thought of G.W with his running mate Tony Blair and Ron Reagan with his VP Margaret Thatcher etc so maybe not.
JAMIE
Jimbo , you sleep with dogs and you wake with flea s ...how quick we forget . Roy did you do away with Bert and take over ? And as far as Roy and _____ ticket , I dont think anyone would be stupid enough to get in bed with you , aside from your two wifes .
Jimbo
JamieI never forget anything but holding grudges seems to me to be a waste of time and my energy. I found Roy's remark to be funny rather than vindictive so I replied in that way. Do not forget he was your hero at one time  .Suggest all go down the my route and let bygones be bygones.
