Calm down old grumpy grandfather....I am just meaning that being closer to the exit than to the entrance in life, I prefer spending time and money on more "fun" things than watching flowers or plants grow.ON top of that I never had any interest in gardening.Food, yes because I am FrenchWomen, wine and fine dining yes because I am French.Music bars yes because that's my generation.Try to go out a bit, listen to AC/DC or Dire Straits, while having a JD and looking at young local women, you'll realize it's not a bad feeling...Concerning geopolitics I suggest you learn to analyse calmly, objectively and without being blinded by your preinstalled ideas.Biden is guilty by association of genocide and mass deportation, as he supplies the weapons that kill women and children. Why you don't pick on that ?Stay calm, at your venerable age getting upset is bad for your heart !Edit ;BTW, I am younger than you. Age wise, physically, appearance and in my mind !
Yes I agree that The present administration continues to arm Israel. Such a horrendous thing to do! The US government has been giving billions in cash, arms, to Israel, but what to the Palestinians? I'm sure that France, Germany, England, etc. are doing the same. Why? Is it to keep the military bases there? How can the world sit back and watch them bomb Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria? Why are the rich Arab nations not providing relief to the Palestinians? I heard this morning that soon there will be famine for these people. Do you think Trump stop providing all the money, and weapons, and help the Palestinians?

I am a bit concerned that there will be a move by the establishment before Trump takes office to escalate the situation to an all out regional war to prevent the likely dismantling of the deep state in the US once Trump takes office. If the war ends, what are your thoughts on what to do in the region for sustainable peace? Do you think Iran should have nuclear weapons and if not, what measures should be taken to prevent them from having them? What to do with Gaza? I will be the first to admit that I don't understand much of the history there and find it nearly impossible to find unbiased or un-propagandized information from what I imagine is from both sides on the subject to be able to form an opinion. What really perplexes me is why the neighboring Arab states don't do more to help the Palestinians or "take them in". I for one would like for the US and the West to just GtF out of the region and leave them all to their own devices. Isreal seems to be fairly capable of taking care of themselves.

Chris A...."What really perplexes me is why the neighboring Arab states don't do more to help the Palestinians or "take them in"."Other Middle Eastern virtually totalitarian states also feel threatened by the ideologies of Hezbollah and Hamas so while giving lip service to humanitarian concerns they do not want to get directly involved and certainly don't want thousands of Palestinians to be taken in.The spread of nuclear weapons to countries led by zealots is frightening. I suspect that most wesern countries will happily leave this to Mosad to deal with if not actually providing covert assistance and intelligence. As for peace in the region, it has been a long history of wars and claims to have god given rights for occupying various areas. Much like the world everywhere with warring tribes becoming warring states and then warring nations. It seems most people have trouble having peace in their homes let alone getting on with the neighbours.

It really would be a good humanitarian gesture, for some Arab nation to take some in, at least start with women and children?

countries led by zealots i
This country (Iran) was rather democratic, with a drmocratically elected Prime Minister at the head.Till he nationalized the O & G industry, mainly run by the Brits. The Brits then asked the CIA for help, and overthrowned the P.M., giving all power to the Shah (manipulated by the US). The shah, pushing reforms too fast and putting a bit too much money in his pockets ended up with an revolution. He fled, the mollags took over.Morality : if in 53 the Yanks has kept their nose out of this, ee would probanly niw have a normal democratic country in Iran.A bit of history ? Only US born citizens can be the US president. Hopefully Musk's involvement in the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will be successful and the need to have the department beyond its chartered end date of July 4, 2026 will not be needed. Realistically, DOGE will only identify the waste and corruption and other - established means will be used to eliminate the waste and corruption. A tall order indeed.I think Musk keeping his attention on Mars exploration is very important and could provide a unifying effort to bring the population of the US, if not the world back together. Yet another tall order.

Why oh why would anyone with half a brain think that it's a good idea to let the only small, independent, democratic, secular nation in a sea of rabidly islamistic, kleptocratic, misogynistic, religious dictatorships sink or swim on its own. Are you so brainwashed to think that our way of life is so much worse than theirs it doesn't deserve the support it needs to survive? If our way was worse wouldn't everyone be trying to get to Yemen, Saudi, Iraq or Iran in small boats? The world hasn't gone suddenly mad, it's just that all the fringe idiots have discovered that they aren't alone and their daft ideas must be valid because other fools share their idiocy - flat earthers and conspiracies galore - who knew that the internet would mostly be used for - spreading madness and porn?

Very prophetic - from the Guardian "[HEADING=2]Biden allows Ukraine to use long-range missiles to strike inside Russia "[/HEADING]
Not surprising at all. In my opinion a last ditch effort among many to come to preserve the abomination of corruption that Washington DC and the surrounding environs have become. The move to dismantle the deep state is going to have consequences that will test the administration's resolve and public's patience. Those consequences will on the light side probably mean civil and societal unrest by rental anarchists and on the heavy side a sustained very negative market reaction. I'm concerned enough that I'm contemplating moving more of our portfolio into gold.Just think, if Trump and his team are successful, perhaps there will be an accelerated populist uprising worldwide that willl beat back the insane globalists and their completely illogical climate change agenda.I remain hopeful, but hope the price is not too high.
