Nope.....
Their furniture artistic skills are about as good as their house building skills....
Note : I am retired, so time has no importance to me !
But as you asked it, after I recover from my too many whisky in Casablanca last night I'll to focus on the art furniture I have in my place (rental, so bought by a local from a local)
Thanks for the pictures and yes, I've seen those models all over the furniture sales places in Mas by Ubud and various other sales outlet. The are solid, cheap and easy to replace (style never runs out). Why you insist on paint or varnish on the parts of the furniture you will never see is still a bit of a mystery to me...?
I did see all of those when I was shopping to fill my place(s) and could have bought them but you absolutely need to shop around! Bear in mind the locals mostly have furniture for show as they tend to prefer sitting on the floor - they will move the furniture out of way to sit down - hence the lack of decent and comfortable cushions. I had mine made to order - was dirt cheap and are very comfortable.
Might I also suggest an observation I've made? We older gentlemen tend not to move nearly as much as we did - I am often amazed the entire afternoon has gone while I've been sitting reading or watching the girls go by and yes, my ass hurts! Blame it on the furniture if you wish but 20 years ago I never sat in one place for longer than probably half an hour.
