Australia quarantine question

Bit confused. How does going to the EU change anything? You still have to get back to Australia to fulfill your wishes from a previous post. Cheers Ken

I prefer to go to Australia, by far. Going anywhere international in covid is a huge pain in the arse and red tape of process. But my flight keeps getting pushed out and out and out so lets just say, I think it's better to have a plan b than to stay here and deplete my financial resources. As for the winter, could deal, but even the odd 0 or 2 Perth has gotten too in recent years after being in Bali so much, I won't lie I felt it. I just need to get to a western country and work eventually, those seem my options.

Sorry mate bit of background would have helped. Born in Germany, have family there, though have not been in many many years, it's been Aus as home base, but given a job etc, going to EU instead is also an option and does not involve sitting in a hotel two weeks. Just something I've been keeping an eye on as a lose plan B I guess you could say. I can speak read/write German also, though as I grew up in NZ/Australia I don't really talk about it a whole lot. Feel like I just told Balipod my life story. :rolleyes: Have been looking at the German job boards, seems jobs I could do with ease and plentiful and I guess that's economically pretty sound also.

Regarding the comments of paying for the NT centre in the springs.it is $3,000 for 1 person in a room and $5,000 for a couple. Not sure how children affect the price. If you have no money you can get an exemption but you cant apply till you are in quarantine - go figure. If you have some saving but no income you can also get a discount through NT based on taxable income in the last financial year (I think 25% but that's off the top of my head). There are talks of trials of changing requirements for fully vaccinated people - no information on what that means but the reports mentioned from countries that Australia could trust the vaccine information. So not sure where we would stand at this stage.
