I like banter and well intentioned jibes as much as the next person. Australians used to be known for 'pulling your leg' or takin' the piss'.
I could be wrong here but I used to view argy-bargy between, for example, Davita and Markit as something akin to the two aged muppets in the dress circle of the famed Muppet Show.
Sometimes cranky, sometimes witty, sometimes downright funny but also sometimes I would learn something. In short, I found it entertaining and informative.
I make mistakes just like anybody. I fart, just like anybody. I like to have my pre-conceptions challenged, constructively and I like to be reminded when I have overstepped some esoteric boundary. As everyone does from time to time.
If there is something I don't agree with, that's cool but I try to not let it become personal because we all have different experiences that have shaped us and our views.
I speak for me and me alone and even I recognise that the world would be a pretty boring place if everyone was as perfect as me :icon_e_smile:.
After approximately 7 months of membership on this forum I nearly quit it yesterday because I was tiring of the battle ground it had become, so in effect this could well be my last hurrah.
However I find it curiously addictive and I don't know why anymore. Is it the soap drama? Is it information gleaned from some vindictiveness? I'm not sure but this forum is in danger of losing it's fun and biting edge fact......for me.
For me. I speak for myself. I'll live by it and suffer for it and I won't speak for anyone else. Paraphrasing or (more to the point) bastardising a famous quote.

Take Fred he just knows the hard questions and all the abbreviations.
Look no further than PSW for pizza information, dog training, how to fire the locals and just about everything else. If you want to see good and funny pics there's Rangi and he will happily wind you up. Where else could you find out where to hunt with a bow except here with Ghurka.
This is only the tip of the iceberg.
