Your agent will tell you, along with new retirement price or you cn look it up and copy and paste it as thats all you seem to do anyway
I copy/paste references to information I've posted so readers can see I'm not talking out of my arse...seems you aren't prepared to do the same! Conclusion?

no Davita I use real life informtion .you know the way it actually is done for reasons you would never be able to grasp .There are many many "loopholes" and work arounds .Posting on an open forum would actually help close them up in reality. If you want proof of a immigration law get your driver to bring you to thier office and get it. You would be surprized how helpful they are !Sambali's best option is and has been the sosbud for now .Everybody went over this in few of his posts. maybe your maid was changing your diaper

My original post to Samsiam was to suggest an agent may find a work-around. If you know a work-around why don't you PM Samsiam and help him out...all I read in your post was you know something no-one else does...what use is that? You said there was a new law (post #8). You made the statement without any details for the rest of us to check. It now seems you are not willing to share the information...so why bring it up in the first place?

you may check it out at Immi .I already did since I am close to applying for a spousal Kitas . I could not care less about what part of law changed I know what the complete process is but then again it could change from last month to next monthHis best solution is a sosbud but he should find a local friend to sponsor him and his family, also to do the extensions on his own. go back and check his threads when the he posted on the forum I believe he has 2 kids and a wife that makes 4 extensions per month for 8 months of the year .The other 4 months are the 60 day original sosbud. 4 times 300( cost per extension) equals 1.2Juta a month doing it himself .I doubt any agent doing it for less the 600k a person or 2.4 J a month .since new fees and mandates ( I believe early July) fingerprints are manditory( I never ever got printed or was at immo for a sosbud extension except last one that I did on my own( 355k cause 55k charged for photo and full prints. Just doing it alone saves him over 1 Juta .but he had no local friend( as he lived in Thia) so he opted the agent and sosbud route . I am sure agent charges for the letters alsoDavita new fees also and I have no idea how to prove them unless you go to immigration and see for yourself. But in Bali( Renon) and Lombok( mataran) both requiere a Multi exit MERP or what ever it is called .Immigration probably not update their website same for all indo consulates and stuff abroad This is why I say Real Life Experiance is from me. even yours from ur Batam or where ever areas real Life is the best The lovely Immigration officers from Renon and Lombok each gave me the forms and packet for the spousal Kitas , but each added a few items that may be required.Lombok said I need copy of wifes bank account to show enough funds in it to live for the year. she also said to submit a copy of my Banking whether in RI or from another country. again Life experiance

davita when Immi updated some prices and some requirements along with a few types of Visa's .None of that new current information is listed or updated from where you got your copy and pasting from. Most are miniscul things such as pricing but they have left out alot of new info
davita
OK Smoke...I understand from your above post you were told by Renon Immigration that it is now mandatory that a MERP is required to be attached to a Kitas, and you are not aware there is any written, updated or listed details of this information.I accept what you say and will soon check with our Agent when we apply for our renewal Kitas....thanks.

I was also told by Lombok immi,Maybe Jakarta is different who knows ?yes written at renon and lombok and also told it
samsiam
Would love a kitas....had someone call their agent who had the right 'contacts' to get things done.....basically the advice was to wait till 55yo.Have another 2 guys that are supposedly ex immi officers now retired and doing this on the side.....shall touch base one day....but realise i am reluctant to deal with some people after 13 years experience in the land of smiles......happy to play fat dumb and happy for awhile longer.Got some nice helmets the other day for all of us...gotta get mine painted blue as could only find a crap one in my size....and some goggles, gotta find goggles.

Went today to extend my Social Visa for the first time at the office near the airport.I asked at the front desk what documents are required and was shown this;My sponsor's ID was not from Bali so I was told to change sponsors with this formwhich requires the signatures over Meterai stamps;Sponsor letter and guarantee (not sure which is which)Cost was 355,000rp. 300,000 + 55,000 for the photos for first extension.Because I only had a week and it would be difficult for me to get a sponsor thatcould come in for the interview I went with an agent. This was organised by the lady at the desk for 800,000rp. Bit over the top butpaid for the convenience. All I have to do is come in for the photos then go back and pick it up. If I had more time I would have done it myself.

Very nice of her actually 800k is not bad, some agents charge 1 JutaOn my 1st extension after prints and photos they stamped my passport and said see you in a few weeks

Good useful post ertert........and well worth reminding others that the sponsor for Sosbud and extensions needs to have a KTP from the place where the applicant intends to reside. This doesn't mean that the applicant cannot reside elsewhere, but all extensions need to be made in the immigration office of the sponsor's KTP.I'm not sure if ALL of Bali is covered by the same KTP...maybe others can chime in. I know in Metro-Jakarta that Tangerang was different to Jakarta Central.

I am sure that is not procedure at all offices always been told to change sponsor would basically need to leave and get a new sosbud with the new sponsor

I am no expert but hypothetically what if you moved to a different region? What if your sponsor moves to a different region? What if your sponsor passes away? I think it would be unreasonableto be made to leave the country in such instances, but you never know with Indonesian bureaucracy...What about agents they change the sponsors all the time but they are playing a different game to us.

But on my last Sosbud run to SG I used my fiance who does live with me and has her scooter( that her 13 yr old daughter uses in lombok)along with the monthly payment. I asked my agent if it ok said no problem.I also visited Renon office and inquired .They said ok also to process in Renon. When time to extend the agent could not as KTP from Lombok. So off to LOmbok to extend.Maybe all the changes are finally trickling down to the workers. Or some do it the old way still. From what I have heard i renon is more laxed in it's ways but not the case when I tried.Glad it was semi easy for you .I need my fiance to sponsor since once married I apply for Kitas ( they say wife has to sponsor sosbud to turn it into spousal Kitas. No idea on other visas to change

Just finished 2nd extension of sosbud thursday filed extension paper work . Given reciept and return date of Tuesday . Appeared Tuesday and paid the 300 idr for the extension. waited about 10 minutes and was given my passport back all stamped with extension for 30 more days. No photo or prints taken on this extension .And only 2 visits again .We asked the Lombok immigration what certificates we needed once married to change to a spousal kitas . No bank account of the sponsor was needed( Renon said we needed it ) Seems each office is a little different but will see when the time comes.

I just heard some guys were refused SOS budaya coz no OUTBOUND TICKET from Indo (Renon Denpasar) !!!I read somewhere that OUTBOUND TICKET is a must for any Tourist or Social visa.So thats again extra paper and extra 10$-20$ booking fee (if they will accept ferry ticket Batam - Singapore)... if it is true !!??

Do you mean extensions?edit..just read paulsewind after posting...A Tourist Visa is NOT a visa on arrival (VOA)...they are two different visas. Also odez is talking about a social budaya visa (Sosbud)...again, a different animal

Yes Davita exactly on EXTENSION it was asked ! I know when applying its a must (nothing new) but now you are suppose to have it on extension also !? .. I just dont know is it possible to have it like 1 exit ticket (like 3-4 months from time of applying for 1 month extension) or for all 4 extensions each time you are supposed to have new for the next month !?If you are supposed to have each time new exit ticket ... it is costly ! Anyhow ... seems like tendency is to complicate/charge all together even more as time passing by ...paulseawind thx for info but I am unable to apply on VOA at all .. yea my country is in EU but not on VOA list for Indonesia ... (yea go figure)I did not know that on VOA extensions they are taking fingerprints and all that mumbo jumbo ... And I did not knew that you can do it so openly since VOA extensions are not legal (are they ??) ... I thought you need to go over agents .. coz they will refuse you if you try it directly in renon !!??They went one step "further" as is it allwys been the case ?

with my sosbuds extensions thru an agent or since I have been doing my own since the changes and increases since july ,I have never been asked for my exit ticket. Will be doing my Third ( and hopefully last sosbud extension ) in a few weeks .Supposidly there is more of a process for the 3rd and 4th(last) extensions now.
