Nightmare scenario but what can we do but delve into the coffers and take the hit ( pun unintentional ), can take the first flight but then would mean most of us losing homes/bness/loved ones, no cancel that last one that could be a bonus that came out of it. Be interesting to get others thoughts as what they would do if god forbid it ever happens to any of us like markits unfortunate friend.As was argued by some on here before and this is a good example of we are the aliens and we WILL lose every time.

To add what might be a final chapter to this tale of misery:I talked to Slicky at the weekend and here is how the case is now playing (out?). Slicky needed her passport back to extend her visa and the cops couldn't give it back without the agreement from the widow that she was now satisfied with the payments and outcome. Widow had gone back to Java and her family with whatever percentage of the 35 mil she has left and the only ones with a telephone number are... you guessed it, the cops. They are unable to give details to Slicky without a substantial further payment ($2000 - for the "zero" challenged among us). Hey ho! Isn't this fun?Slicky makes further payment (up till now she's been tapped for 100s of mill but plead poverty so has managed to keep it down to ONLY 60 to 70mil without any guarantee that it has ended yet.My feeling is that they (please fill in the "they" blank on your on time) will keep a situation like this running for all it's worth and that could actually be forever. Slicky is stubborn and refuses to throw in the towel on Bali but I'm wondering if a year in some other country to let some grass grow over the shite wouldn't be the best resolution to the fiasco. You think so...not seen a thai think yet.....I could write a list so long.....friend was recently killed by thai doctors after an accident....just remember one thing, you might recall the khmer rouge and their social campaigns....there aint no great wall between western cambodia and thailand....do you think the bloods never mixed? The TAT's land of smiles is the biggest con job on the planet.
