Corporate Communications Strategist of Lion Air Danang Mandala Prihantoro said the route will accommodate the needs of both tourists and businesspeople and will be kickstarted with a departure from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at around 7:55 a.m. local time, with a return flight the same day, departing from Sorong at around 3:00 p.m. local time. “The new domestic route Jakarta to Sorong becomes a part of Lion Air’s non-stop route network in Indonesia,” he said.

The new route, he said, covers 2,158-miles with a travel time of around 4-hours.
