Civil Servant Agencies Ready to Move to IKN

Speaking at a press conference at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (19/3/24,) Acting Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) Haryomo Dwi Putranto, said that 25 ministries and institutions have currently expressed readiness to move to Nusantara Capital City (IKN) and in principle, all civil servants (ASN) working in central agencies will eventually be transferred to IKN, reports Antara News.

Putranto also said that the transfer will be by the priority scale and policies of the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) adding that “BKN also controls ASN assignments to IKN that are carried out by PPK, so that they comply with standards, procedures, and criteria.”

Antara News reports that the 25 ministries and institutions have also submitted a total of 2,505 civil servants to be transferred. According to Putranto, there are four civil servant positions; leadership, administrator, supervisory, and functional, and those who will move to IKN include positions from echelon 1 to echelon 4, which are needed to implement the program at IKN.

He said that each agency was urged to prepare a map of its respective positions to consider the needs of IKN making assurances that the functional positions would work at IKN.

According to reporting from Antara News, the following 25 agencies have expressed readiness to move to IKN:

National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN)
Attorney General’s Office
Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN)
Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri)
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM)
Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham)
Ministry of Health (Kemenkes)
Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu)
Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo)
Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam)
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu)
Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR)
Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB)
