I have stayed at the Ibis. They probably have more than one location in Jakarta. Price was reasonable. Jalan Jaksa is the place for cheap backpacker places.
Jkt is such a massive place with massive traffic jams that I usually consider exactly why I am there (which I am about 5 times a year), where I need to go/visit/shop.. then use Booking.com or Agoda to find someplace close to where I will spend most of my time
Saving a few Rp on hotel might actually be counterproductive if it is hours from where you need to be
