A woman and her daughter were each sentenced to 19 years in prison for defrauding Princess Lolowah bint Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, after they promised her a villa resort in Ubud that never came to be.

In 2008, the royal became acquainted with an Indonesian citizen named Eka Augusta Herriyani, the latter of whom worked at a Malaysian company in which Lolowah was a shareholder.

The princess visited Bali the following year and expressed her interest in property investment on the island. Eka introduced Lolowah to her daughter Evie Marindo Christina, who was said to be able to assist with permits.

The mother and daughter pair scouted for villa locations and settled on a site in the Tampaksiring sub-district of Gianyar regency.

After Lolowah approved the site, she wired IDR505 billion (US$33.7 million) to Eka and Evie between 2011 and 2018 for the development of two villa resorts.

Gosh! I feel just terrible for that poor, poor princess, as I'm sure do we all here at HeartsRUs. Don't you just love the way the 19 million they can't find has been simply written off? Oh, well, bad luck old chaps. We got the girls for you.

19 years? In the news a much more heinous case with another holier than you dude scammed 117 billion from fund (cash from Boeing) set up to aid the families of the 2018 Lion Air crash victims. He received only 3.5 years and will be out in 2 years time or so.

Typical Indo dual justice system. The two Malang ladies had another 15 years padded on top as penalty for scamming a Saudi Royal resulting in major Indo face loss.

The report I saw said the money had not been recovered. Some properties and land had been purchased but it would be interesting to see a full breakdown as to how the money was used or what became of the bulk of the millions.

Do we know what the breakdown was of the Lion Air tragedy compensation funds and what was recovered?

The Saudi princess has been left with this:
https://www.republika.co.id/berita/...asus-penipuan-yang-merugikan-putri-arab-saudi

Estimated value:

Located here:

The princess handed over 505 Milyar for the construction of Villa Kama (resort) and Amrita Tedja (private villa) plus purchase of some land in Bali. Considering this was more than 10 years ago, she must have been confused by all the zeros, as she could have got away with 50 Milyar for the villa complexes at that time if she hired an expensive but well reputed Contractor!

So where is the rest of the funds?

More import; this is the kind of clientele who drives up the cost for all other prospective buyers in Bali!

What a curious coincidence. The officer in charge of the case was Ferdy Sambo who has just been sentenced to life for murder. I wonder what he might know about the missing 400 billion?

Mr. FS probably had a problem similar to Columbian drug lords who realized it took them way too much time to count the money so they instead just calculated the profit by weighing the money...
