Including one in Bali:

Other listed toll road projects up for bidding are the Cikunir-Ulujami elevated toll road section in Jakarta, stretching for 21.5 km, as well as Bali’s 95.5 km Gilimanuk-Mengwi toll road worth Rp 19.7 trillion. Other toll roads include the Semanan-Balaraja toll road in Banten, worth around Rp 15.5 trillion.

wonder if they already know the route guidance for Bali? Some strange companies (also Russian) apparently try to buy huge amount of land here & there. now it's still affordable of course. Inside job?

It's be like the "new airport" the minute all land has changed hands at the proposed new site they move the proposed new site somewhere else until all that land has been bought up - they are many things but dumb aint one of them.

Ok, Sakumabali and I have been banging this topic around for many years, and at last I feel that this Mengui to Gilimanuk tollroad is the genuine article. The idea that this one small island is to be compressed forever into the insufferable South is about to end!

I still got some 10 are spot near Bedugul and my wife another one near Pasut beach. Both spots still have good air to breathe but I never would live there - right now. But if one day there's an ok road to Canggu why not?

You can go there and see for yourself, but doubt that you will be disappointed. One clue is the fact that part of Canggu is named Tibubeneng. Just practice pronouncing that a bit will provide a clue.
The evidence is in viewing. Even the common super markets in addition to the beaches bare witness if you excuse the pun.
